Metamorphosis Of The Shadow

Situated in the lower half of Carnedd (Cardiff), the unfolding performance explores the shadow body as it moves through an installation of spatial arrangements and high-frequency sound dimensions. These spaces represent the rhizomatic world ( non-linear), which is symbiotic with the shadow, a body of liminal creative abilities and uncertainty.

Often marginalised for its tendencies to uncover the truth and rupture hierarchical systems of social control, the shadow is persistently subjected to persecution, repression and concealment.

What happens when we allow our shadow to re-emerge? How are our perceptions altered? What emerges from the body when travelling through these thresholds?

The work invites the audience's bodies to act as a container, a space that creates a boundary for sensing, feeling and becoming.
